Abstract
This study on the EasyAngle digital goniometer demonstrated strong concurrent validity (ICC 0.97) for measuring cervical flexion range of motion.
The study compared EasyAngle® measurements to 3D motion capture as the gold standard.
Methods
Validity study comparing cervical flexion ROM measured by EasyAngle® to 3D motion capture in 50 participants.
Results
Concurrent validity was excellent with ICC = 0.97. Mean difference between EasyAngle® and motion capture was only 1.8°.
Conclusion
EasyAngle® demonstrates excellent concurrent validity for cervical flexion measurement, making it a clinically practical alternative to laboratory-based motion capture systems.
