Abstract
This study found that EasyAngle® shows excellent validity and interrater reliability for measuring active and passive hip range of motion in people with hip osteoarthritis.
The study compared EasyAngle® measurements with radiographic and clinical reference standards.
Methods
Cross-sectional study with patients with hip osteoarthritis. Hip ROM was measured using EasyAngle® and compared to gold standard measurements.
Results
Validity was excellent with correlations > 0.90 compared to reference standards. Interrater reliability ICC ranged from 0.88-0.95 for all hip movements.
Conclusion
EasyAngle® demonstrates excellent validity and reliability for measuring hip ROM in patients with osteoarthritis, making it suitable for clinical assessment and outcome measurement.
